Devarshi Narada said to Yudhishthir, “O Yudhishthir! I will tell you the 30 virtues of humanity that are applicable to all humans. These virtues are considered the best and please the Supreme Soul, Lord. The 30 virtues are:
1. Truthfulness
2. Compassion
3. Austerity
4. Purity
5. Self-control
6. Self-reflection
7. Control of external senses
8. Control of internal senses
9. Non-violence
10. Celibacy
11. Renunciation
12. Self-study
13. Simplicity
14. Contentment
15. Equal vision towards all
16. Service
17. Avoiding evil company
18. Observing the consequences of actions
19. Silence
20. Self-inquiry
21. Charity
22. Respect for all beings
23. Self-realization
24. Devotion to the Supreme Being
25. Contemplation on God’s qualities and names
26. Listening to God’s glories
27. Singing God’s praises
28. Remembering God
29. Serving God
30. Surrender to God
These are the key virtues that Devarshi Narada emphasized for all humans.”
